About Us

MISSION: The Association for Women in Communications is a professional organization that champions the advancement of women across all communication disciplines by recognizing excellence, promoting leadership, and positioning its members at the forefront of the evolving communication era.

The Purdue Chapter of AWC offers a welcoming place for students to connect, grow and succeed. We are one of the nation’s oldest professional communications organizations. Anyone interested in studying or pursuing a career in the field of communication is encouraged to join AWC! However, we are NOT communication exclusive, ANYONE can join us!

Our aim is to build a friendly community of dedicated members with a passion for wanting to pursue greater learning opportunities. As a member of AWC you’ll have access to networking opportunities, scholarships, internship, and job postings, and have the chance to build and strengthen your resume and portfolio with hands-on experience at chapter meetings, special events, fundraisers and philanthropies. Furthermore, you’ll build meaningful, long-lasting relationships with other members and professionals, who share common interests and goals.
