Tom Doherty founded Cardinal Publishers Group, a full service national book distributor, back in 2000 and has presided over it ever sense. Previous to his time with Cardinal Publishers Group, Tom worked as the Vice President of Sales for SPI & Sagamore Publishing, as the Sales and Marketing Manager of Masters Press, as the Eastern Regional Marketing Manager for Warner Publishers Service in New York, and has had an additional ten years of book publishing and distributing experience. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Independent Book Publishers Association.

Prior to his time with Dearing Group, Ross worked with Haan Marketing + Communications as a creative production assistant, spent two years in the Peace Corps, and graduated from Ball State University.

Dr. Karen Morgan works as the Coordinator of International Student Services for the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University. Prior to working in this role, Karen also held a position as a Lecturer, teaching Purdue students undergraduate Chinese. She has a Ph.D. in applied linguistics, and has maintained several relevant experience such as Principal and Instructor of the Purdue Chinese School, Student Organization Advisor of the CLA International Student Council, and founded an Internship Program.

Deb Seders works at the Tippecanoe County Public Defender’s Office as the Office Assistant. Outside of work, Deb is an active member in the Association for Women in Communication’s local professional chapter, the AWC Lafayette Chapter. She is the current secretary, but has also presided over AWC Lafayette – and has even won an award for her work in the organization two times! Deb was even a part of Purdue AWC when she attended Purdue to pursue a degree in journalism, an area she also has a diverse array of experience and expertise within.

She received her MS in Communication from Purdue with a focus on Strategic Communication Management. She has had 10 years of communications related experience.

Angela Roberts, an active member of the AWC Lafayette Chapter, works as a Senior Communication Professional for Purdue University. She also holds the position of Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships Office. Angela has worked as the Operations Manager of Solace Counseling Services of Indiana, Owner of Bungalow Productions, Business Development Coordinator of the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana, Marketing and Public Information Director at Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, and has held an array of other professional expertise related to the communications and health fields.
